G.L. Perry is the creator of Exbal. He has been a computer scientist, active shooter, and proud member of the NRA for thirty years. He has a long standing interest in ballistics, ranging from theoretical first principles to a practical desire to achieve the optimum. This lead to the first generation of Exbal based on an empirical data model he developed to fit bullet manufacturer’s trajectory data twenty-five years ago. Exbal has been improved continuously since then.
The current high level of interest in
tactical/long range shooting has sparked interest in the capability to
determine how to make one shot go to
exactly the right place. Features
were added to Exbal to accommodate these needs. In fact, Exbal can be loaded on a lap-top
computer and used at the range to
determine what sight adjustments need to be made to accommodate a target at
any distance. |
